So, we've got a couple of songs on the new 555 Recordings cassette comp called YOUR CASSETTE PET. We think it's available on the
555 site. Oh, the tracks are not by Kanda - look for the names
Akina Kawauchi and
Arland Nicewander. Stew claims that this is "the greatest compilation you will own." Would he steer you wrong? Other notable artists on this tape:
Ashtray Boy, Hulaboy, Mytty Archer, Stick Insect, Boyracer, The Young Untold, and Beatnik Filmstars.
Oh, ps - our 1st full length is now available on iTunes as well. 555 has uploaded a bunch of their releases on iTunes too in addition to the mailorder they offer.

It's been a while... we're going to play a show (it's more like a party) on Friday (w. Chromatics and DJ Beyonda) for you Portland folk! Please stop by- it's FREE! The Ace Hotel and UNIQLO (a Japanese clothing company) are curating an exhibition of Northwest art featuring Amy Ruppel, Justin "Scrappers" Morrison, Evan B. Harris, Shawn Wolfe, David Kaul, Brent Wick, Jeremy Pelley, Philip Iosca, Sarah Gottesdiener, Liza Rietz and Storm Tharp.
We're sorry about the empty promises (see below)... School and work and a bunch of other stuff have really gotten in the way. Excuses, excuses... we've got a laundry list of them. Well, at least we followed through with the book. For those of you who aren't in on this: check

OK kids...this new year brings a promise of new stuff. First up - a book/CD combo from our dear friend, Patrick Elkins. This project will be the first release from our new label, Francis of Prussia - a division of kandapop, llc. There's more info about this project on the
Francis of Prussia part of our website. With regard to kanda plans, we're slowly but surely working on a new project. More on this later.
